Project tasks
The purpose of this project is to comprehensively develop and implement a modern website for the Faculty of music to provide applicants with complete and necessary information on admission to a particular speciality. After a detailed analysis of the project's design concept and constructive discussions with the customer, we identified the main tasks that we faced in the process of developing this website.
When developing this site, I paid special attention to its functionality and aesthetic appeal. It was necessary to ensure the proper level of technical implementation of the site, in particular, to pay attention to its loading speed and ease of navigation for users.
The main focus of the work was to provide applicants with the necessary information about all the opportunities and requirements for admission to the Faculty of music. The website should contain updated data on entrance exams, the admission campaign and many other important information for applicants.
In addition, I had to ensure the availability of feedback functionality that would allow applicants to ask questions and receive prompt responses from representatives of the faculty. I also had to make sure that I could publish current news and events related to the Faculty of Music to provide full information support to students.
Result of the work
This video presents the responsive website of the Faculty of Musical Arts of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, which I created. You will see a detailed overview of the design, structure, and functionality of the site. It also shows how the site looks and works on different devices: from smartphones to desktop computers.
In the end, the following was done to successfully complete the project in accordance with the customer's requirements:
1. Internet marketing
A set of Internet marketing activities was carried out, including:
- website registration in search engines;
- adding a website to thematic resources.
2. Structure
The site's user interface is designed to meet the needs of future students. It has a user-friendly structure, clear navigation and pleasant design.
- the structure of the site is clearly divided into sections and subsections, which allows users to easily find the information they need;
- navigation of the site is simple and clear, even for users who do not have experience with the Internet;
- the design of the site is modern and pleasing to the eye. It corresponds to the general concept of the site and creates a positive impression on users.
3. Adaptive layout
The site has a responsive design that allows it to display correctly on various devices, including computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones:
- Adaptive site layout ensures optimal size of font, image and other site elements for each device. This allows users to browse the site comfortably, regardless of the screen size of their device;
- The structure of the site is designed in such a way that users can easily find the information they need, regardless of which device they are viewing the site from. For this, the site uses convenient navigation elements such as menus, buttons and hyperlinks.
4. Adding text content
The site contains all the necessary information for future students, including:
- information about the educational process;
- detailed description of specialties;
- detailed information on admission.
5. Photo and video optimization
All images and videos on the site have been processed and optimized for fast loading and display. This made it possible to improve the speed of the site and its accessibility for users with limited Internet traffic.
6. Animation
The site uses animation to complement the design and make it more dynamic and interesting. Animation can also be used to emphasize important information.
7. Integration with YouTube
The YouTube channel of the faculty is integrated into the site, which allows users to easily watch videos about the faculty and its activities.
8. Registration
The site provides the possibility of registering applicants, which allows them to quickly and conveniently register and subsequently enter the desired specialty.
9. Accessibility
A module has been implemented for those with poor vision, which allows them to use the site comfortably. The module includes larger fonts, a contrasting color scheme and other elements that make the text easier to read.
10. Sitemap
The site has a sitemap that allows users to easily find the information they need. The sitemap contains a list of all sections and subsections of the site, as well as links to them.
11. SEO optimization
Basic SEO optimization was carried out, which made it possible to improve the visibility of the site in search engines. SEO optimization included optimization of titles and meta tags, optimization of text content, connection of analytics system and creation of links to the site.
12. Hosting
The site was hosted and configured on quality hosting, which ensures its uninterrupted operation and accessibility for users from all over the world.
